DNA & Biometric Data Consent

This Consent governs the submission, storage, processing, and use of DNA-related, biometric, genetic, medical, and other sensitive identifying data submitted to Intertrace.

1. Introduction

This DNA & Biometric Data Consent (“Consent”) governs the submission, storage, processing, and use of DNA-related, biometric, genetic, medical, and other sensitive identifying data submitted to Intertrace.center (“Intertrace”, “Platform”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

Intertrace is operated by Zendom LLC, a California limited liability company, located at 3427 N Freeway Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95834, United States.

2. Explicit Consent

By submitting DNA-related, biometric, genetic, medical, or sensitive identifying data, you provide your explicit, informed, voluntary, and freely given consent for Intertrace to collect, store, process, analyze, display where applicable, and use such data for Platform-related purposes.

3. Legal Authority to Submit Data

You represent and warrant that:

  • You are the data subject; or
  • You are a lawful parent, guardian, representative, or authorized person; or
  • You have obtained all required legal permissions, authorizations, and consents.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your submission complies with all applicable laws.

4. Third-Party Data

If you submit data relating to another person, including a missing person, family member, unidentified person, witness, or relative, you accept full responsibility for the legality, accuracy, and authorization of that submission.

Intertrace is not responsible for claims arising from unauthorized submission of third-party data.

5. Purpose of Processing

DNA-related and biometric data may be processed for purposes including:

  • Supporting identification efforts;
  • Comparing or matching submitted information;
  • Assisting case organization and analysis;
  • Fraud, abuse, and duplicate prevention;
  • Compliance with legal obligations;
  • Improvement of Platform functionality and safety.

6. No Medical, Forensic, or Legal Conclusions

Intertrace is not a medical provider, forensic laboratory, genetic testing company, law enforcement agency, court, or legal authority.

Intertrace does not provide medical diagnoses, forensic conclusions, legal determinations, identity confirmations, or official investigative findings.

7. Sensitive Nature of DNA and Biometric Data

You understand that DNA, biometric, genetic, and medical-related data may be highly sensitive and may reveal information about identity, biological relationships, ancestry, health-related traits, or other personal characteristics.

8. Risks of Submission

You acknowledge and accept risks including, but not limited to:

  • Unauthorized access;
  • Data breach or security failure;
  • Misuse by third parties;
  • Unexpected identification or relationship discovery;
  • Cross-border transfer and processing;
  • Legal, emotional, reputational, or privacy consequences;
  • Incomplete or imperfect deletion after public exposure or third-party copying.

9. Public and Global Exposure

Some case-related information submitted to the Platform may be publicly accessible, globally available, indexed by search engines, copied, archived, shared, or republished by third parties.

Intertrace cannot guarantee complete removal of data once it has been publicly disclosed or copied by third parties.

10. Cross-Border Processing

Data may be stored, transferred, or processed in the United States and other jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

By submitting data, you expressly consent to such cross-border processing and accept the associated risks.

11. Data Retention

Intertrace may retain submitted DNA-related, biometric, genetic, medical, or sensitive data for as long as necessary for Platform operations, identification support, fraud prevention, legal compliance, safety, dispute resolution, and recordkeeping.

Data may be retained even after account closure or deletion requests where permitted or required by applicable law.

12. Withdrawal of Consent

You may request withdrawal of consent or deletion of submitted data by contacting us. However, you understand and agree that:

  • Some data may be retained where legally required or permitted;
  • Data already disclosed publicly may not be fully removable;
  • Third-party copies, search engine indexes, archives, or external republications may persist;
  • Withdrawal may affect Platform functionality or case visibility.

13. Proof of Consent

By submitting sensitive data, you agree that Intertrace may record proof of consent, including:

  • IP address;
  • Date and time of consent;
  • Account identifier;
  • Device, browser, and technical metadata;
  • Consent checkbox confirmations;
  • Related submission logs.

These records may be used to verify consent, prevent fraud, respond to disputes, comply with legal obligations, and defend legal claims.

14. Platform Role Disclaimer

Intertrace acts solely as a neutral technology platform for receiving, organizing, storing, and displaying information submitted by users.

Intertrace does not act as:

  • A healthcare provider;
  • A genetic testing laboratory;
  • A forensic laboratory;
  • A law enforcement agency;
  • A court or legal authority;
  • A guarantor of accuracy or identity.

15. Accuracy and No Guarantee

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of submitted data. Intertrace does not guarantee that submitted DNA-related or biometric data is accurate, complete, usable, verified, or sufficient to identify any person.

16. Third-Party Rights and Claims

You agree that Intertrace shall not be liable for claims brought by third parties relating to submitted DNA-related, biometric, genetic, medical, or identifying data.

You are solely responsible for obtaining all permissions and handling any claims, disputes, objections, or legal demands arising from your submission.

17. Irreversibility of Data Exposure

You acknowledge that once sensitive data or related case information is submitted, displayed, indexed, copied, downloaded, archived, or shared, complete reversal or deletion may be impossible.

18. Law Enforcement and Legal Requests

Intertrace may disclose submitted data, logs, metadata, and consent records to law enforcement, courts, regulators, government authorities, or other parties where required or permitted by law, legal process, safety needs, or protection of rights.

19. Security

Intertrace uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect sensitive data. However, no system, platform, database, transmission, or storage method is completely secure.

You submit sensitive data at your own risk.

20. No Compensation

You understand that submission of DNA-related, biometric, genetic, medical, or sensitive data does not entitle you to compensation, payment, royalties, ownership interest, or other financial benefit.

21. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Zendom LLC, Intertrace, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, penalties, costs, or expenses arising from:

  • Your submission of DNA-related, biometric, genetic, medical, or sensitive data;
  • Your lack of legal authority or required consent;
  • Violation of privacy, biometric, genetic, medical, or data protection laws;
  • Claims by family members, data subjects, representatives, or third parties;
  • Misuse, inaccuracy, or consequences of submitted data.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zendom LLC and Intertrace shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, reputational, emotional, privacy-related, financial, or legal damages arising from submission, processing, use, disclosure, loss, or misuse of DNA-related, biometric, genetic, medical, or sensitive data.

23. Relationship to Other Policies

This Consent supplements and forms part of Intertrace’s Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Case Submission Agreement. If there is a conflict involving sensitive data, the stricter protective provision shall apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

24. Changes to This Consent

We may update this Consent from time to time. Continued use of the Platform or continued submission of sensitive data after updates means you accept the updated Consent.
